Sailquik (29582km): Boobays - Shark Bay. Great session but hard work. There is a fine line here between too rough and too shallow and Chrasher has it wired. I reponded to his call at 10am and scooted around here as quick as I could to find Crasher had already sailed and had a 46 peak! Cool! I rigged as quick as I could and got amongst it. It is a tricky place to get wired as the wind comes on waves and one has to just keep circulating to increase the chance of a really good gust. The best run I was super powered up and even felt like I could get pulled over the front as I turned downwind. Yeeehaaa! Very pleased with the peak speeds. saw 44.3 on the GW-52 but one second speed was 43.9kts This is an amazing spot. Spectacular views and constant wind. Today it's 30-35 constant knots and has been sine 10am. Thete are brief gusts to almost 40. And it gets windier! Tides and water level is critical, but Chrasher has it wired. It's amazing that the tide has not chnaged at all since 10am and the wind is just getting stronger. I will post the sessions from the previous days here when I can get some more interent time.

Ado (4489km): Jervis Bay, NSW. Howling NE seabreeze. Must have been over 30 knots as the tops of the white caps were being sheared clean off and slamming into my face. Way over powered on the 5.8 Koncept but still having fun and no stacks! |
