Hard work on the 7.5 lots of lulls good in the gusts. First time on the Vegas Twin 136 felt good seemed a bit better up win and had much more grip.

HSM 6.0 CA SL55 18cm Delta 1st use of 18 delta and it worked well.

NE/NNE 20-28 knots and gusting plus a pretty hot wind made it a pleasurable sail today.

Plenty of guys and 1 gal out as well. Lots going super fast, sorry Andy for getting a bit close to you.....

Had a big stack coming back in when I had the rig ripped outa my hands (not in harness) and I kept going as the gear came to a sudden halt. Felt a few cracks and some adjustments pops in my neck........a cheap way to get the cricks out I guess.

Thanks for the encouragement guys.

I think that I may have found out something - I studied the paths today of Byron, Steve Walsh (and previously Bruce)  - What I noticed is that when they bear-away they all don't make the 'turn' too sharply - I'd say 30 degrees to start (from their tracks) and then gradually increase this to 45 degrees.  Their maximum speed (40+ knots for Bryon and Steve) came some distance after the 'turn'.

Something to try next time.
