What started out as the perfect weekend away with great friends, awesome conditions and my chance to push myself in some healthy competition quickly deteriorated following a painful stack. What appears to be my 2 sec peak was quickly followed by my board lifting out of the water by the fin and smashing me against the rig. The standard ribs and severely twisted neck forced me to watch the weekend from the shore. Many thanks to nurse Dezza for the ice water bottles and for Glenn (from Lake Macquarie) for helping me pack up the tent etc.
Was a great weekend nevertheless. Many thanks to Byron, Muzz, Steve and James for your efforts!
