2510 days ago 2 categories Wind didn't quite deliver as promised, was lighter than forecast and also gusty. Had performance in mind so didn't quite enjoy it which is fckn ridiculous not enjoying a windsurfing session, its like i've turned it into a bloody job. Doddi got hurt and did some carnage, speedy recovery mate. Got to meet Pacey, nice bloke. For some reason I kept spinning out today, ?????? not sure why. Most of us felt underpowered, and like we rigged too small?? Geez we're getting fussy with this sport, so bloody spoilt like little brats when they don't get there way

2510 days ago What a fun day! Think Joe must have used the wrong forecast, I thought it was spot on Willyweathers 22kts for Pt Grey.
Loads of people there today, good to catch up with Stringer and meet pacey, every body seemed to be having fun, even if some were underpowered.
So I plugged the 5.8 into the 48 with filleted 19cm 55d weedy. This worked well all arvo. Started of sampling all 4 speed runs, Liptons North and South, and Port Grey starboard and Port runs, then tried a few alphas in middle Liptons, and a NM from South Liptons to Ward Pt.
I probably would have gone faster on the 43 with a smaller fin, but I was having too much fun just sailing around, so didn't bother swapping.

2510 days ago I returned to the Kingdom late this arvo to clear out all the peasants who have been harvesting my weed for their own nefarious needs in my absence. It seemed to work because as soon as I got there just about everybody cleared out.
PartyBarge310, Koncept 7.5 FangyFin 24 all launched successfully from S-bend, complete with re-constituted boom and harness. I had to spend a few minutes getting the settings all Goldilocks, but once dialled in I had a really fun arvo on the Barge. I probably could have used a smaller sail and board, but I still enjoy getting the Barge up and motoring. I had a max over 37 which is I am sure is a PB for that board and possibly for a Fangy Fin 24.
Tugger tried out his FF28 and as per Swindy, enjoyed sailing almost directly into the wind going uphill. He also kept the basket under balloon going downhill and ended up with a smile on the dial. Another FF mission accomplished :-)
Basil smashed yet another set of PB's, but he knew that after his harsh remarks on his last posting, that he should do the gentlemanly thing and leave the premises, so that left just Fin, remery and me to enjoy a good tide height, nice breeze and still a lovely run. I ended up finishing pretty late for me, mainly because I was waiting for the evening shift of Jonski or Oaf to clock on and take over. Fin and I then called time and ended a beaut day on the smooth.

Hardie has already summed up how I felt about today in that I was focussed on top speeds so went for what I thought would be fastest but came close to ruining my session by being underboarded almost all the time. I came in to change up to the Patrick for the last 20 mins and it proved that I should of used it all along.

2510 days ago Tabou Manta 54, NP RSR E6 6.4m, Pepe weed 21cm
Some days you choose correctly and some you don't, yesterday lighter forecast heding towards overpowered on the 6.4, today ripper forecast and underdone, which wasn't helped by the small board nor the small fin.
Wind started out ok(ish) but rapidly faded, tried a couple of bare aways but running out of puff especially over on Ward Pt where I had to stand up and go square with the wind dropping out, after that spent the rest of the time trying to get back up wind which was getting lighter and lighter.
Back on shore waiting for the wind to pick up which it did around 5.30, just couldn't be stuffed.
Without days like this, you can't realy appreciate the good ones.
Congrats to Basil for another load of PB's
Hope the Doddie fella isn't to bruised and battered, get well soon mate

A bit more wind than yesterday. I got out earlier today and there where a lot more other windsurfers out, by that I mean yesterday it was me and the kites. Just so much fun today. Hard to explain but enjoyed the speed and jibing especially at the end when the kitesurfers had all cleared off. Nice to see everyone and good fun charging around with Stroppmeister.

Nice day with lots of people out, just couldnt get into the groove. Numbers way down on others and couldnt buy a long enough gust for a decent alpha.
Well done team, another haul of PB,s and Max you are still obviously not listening to your dad, well done.
