Lancelin, WA, AU. Pretty average sail in marginal winds and chop but good for Lachy to try another spot. Stormy wind has now picked up but Im drinking beer now! Cool

I did not do much right. Board too big .Sail not well tuned .Often felt a bit on the edge of control. Came in before I made a complete dick of myself.Somehow managed to line up with a lucky gust and a bit of smoothish .

Thank s to my board caddy, Fangy. The lad shows promise and with patience and the the correct training may yet proove to be capable of more complex tasks such as rigging and derigging. We can all look forward with some pleasure to seeing the boy find a usefull role in society.

Fangyland was windy this arvo. I went for the Koncept 6.6 FF20 and Vintage Windtech and was still too overpowered to get the power down and feel comfortable. Also, I was too overpowered for my stainless steel harness spreader bar. It let go, and in return I got an enema to remember. After spotting me doing the walk of shame, Stroppo let rip with a quite a decent spray as he went past at somewhere approaching insanely fast, but then made up for it by lending me his spare harness.

Back on the water I got settled/adjusted in the harness and had another go at getting some power down. Bang! And one of the boom clips fails and flips open. Arrgh! Some days you just have to be resigned to being the statue and not the pigeon...

So not the best session for me but the smile on FNQ Billy's dial made it a Top Ten Fangy Day regardless Cool

Liptons North, Fab day, long runs on dead flat water as good as Lake George.  We are spoilt here in Mandurah, hopefully other GPSTCers arent getting too annoyed with usEmbarassed, if you come to WA I'll show you all our spotsCool.  Fave Board Mistral Speed 95/55  TR16 6.3m starting to enjoy the power and control of this sail, still won't rotate thoughEmbarassed, Pepeweed 22/48, probably too big felt weed dragging all the time, definitely would have gone faster on the 20/48.

No water today so decided to go and remove the pole in the launch area before someone (probably me!) impales themselves on it. Took a bit of effort to get it to move & if Shane hadn't of improvised a crow bar by inserting a jimmy bar into his old 1m long SDM mast extension I'd probably still be there! Thanks Shane for all your help today Laughing

On walking back to shore I stumbled upon (literally) on a decent chunk of angle iron. Oh & we found a small engine block on the sand behind the stake at the town end Surprised

Got more of a work out than sailing!

On a 4.5 Basil out of control another PB well done mate, they're goingto come thick and fast now.

Around lunch time I looked at the westerly rainy conditions, with not a lot of wind predicted, and decided to go shopping with Dot. On the way back dropped into Fangys to see what I was missing, low and behold high tide, no smell, and a good SSW blowing.

Strop looked to get a nice NM. Fangy, Billy and little Billy heading out, Basil and Shano rigging up.

Too late by then for me to get on the water much before it would be time to come back in again. So went home and had a nana nap instead.

Hopefully the next 2 days will have something nice and I won't have missed out alltogether.
