An unexpected session this afternoon and good to see Ben, Boz and Ricey rigging up as I did my final runs before the school pickup. Manta 88 NPv8 6.2 wp 25

Great way to finish the week off, rigged expecting a bit more wind but not to be, the 5.5 KAR was under cooked so a bit surprised with the 2 sec. Good fun none the less.

I reckon I should have done betterer given the wind and location. The new-secondhand JP Supersport 100 felt heaps easier to go fast on than the Magic Ride 104. I was always on the edge of control with the latter. I feel like a 28 weedy was faster for me than the 18 Delta XT, I can't ride up on the fin with the XT. Maybe I need to move the front footstraps back to the last spot. I can't see the full numbers as I type this, maybe I got a location PB. The slapping on chop is almost not existent, gybes are wider with much more speed on the way out. Its just faster and more comfortable. Maybe I need a sail from this decade. Maybe its just me and my noodle-arms! One good thing is that its 6cm narrower than the Magi Ride so I can see over it while it sits next to me in the Golf.

NP Search 5.0 wave, JP SuperSport Pro 100, MUF Delta XT 18.

Quick after work blast. Huey wasn't as welcoming but still some fun in the sun. Quite a few Pinnas about and good to meet up with Pointman.

SB i107, NP E9 7.0m, CL sl34. Keen to try a 36cm fin on this combo.

Git there when really windy. By the time I rigged 5.0 the wind had dropped.

Managed a few runs then changed to 6.0 Koncept, 105 Rocket 29 speedweed.

Good to see Boz, Tim, Greg, Mark and Ben

GAF at Melville today. Which is weird, cos if you look at the Melville graph on Seabreeze and see solid green arrows you think "Woohoo, it's on like Donkey Kong", when in actual fact it was more off than on.

Got there late, cos the eldest son got into some biffo at school today, which meant the whole school pick up the kids thang was extended.  Note to self:  tell the young bloke to check the forecast before he punches on.

On the water at 5 with the trusty M112 + 7.6 TR9 + 33 CL SL2 combo, and initially it looked the business, but the dark patches coming down the flats were mushy and gutless, and I was a full hour into the session before I hooked a decent gust, for the peak speed and a 34K 10-sec.  I was hunting gusts til it completely switched off around 6:30, but still had to carry a 28K 10-sec in the average.

So, not a bad sesh, but I think I had more fun on the big kit at Peli yesterday, at least it was reasonably consistent.

Nice to meet Tim as I was packing up and put a face to another member of the Pinnas family Cool

LOL Greg on checking the forecast before getting into a punchup...

Wind should have been really strong at Melville around lunchtime. It was really whistling and bending the trees at work in Manning.

I think you manged speed of the day regardless. Good gust hunting!

Well done everyone!

had it all planned to leave work1 at 12 but that just never happened, when i did leave  I had another short job at work2 that lasted until 5:30 - so no sailing.

Well done Rob, I reckon you might be on to something about a non wave sail Smile
