First dawn patrol session: Mistral 95 (55 wide), North Ram 5.7, Tribal SW 25

Second afternoon session: Mistral 112, KARace7.1, BPWS 34 (28 deep)

We set the alarm for 5.00am, to get the best of the Westerly front that came through at 3.30am last night. On the water by 7.30am. Boy it was cold, especially in my Qlder spring suit. The WSWer was 20 to 30 kts. The flatish water was in the weed banks hugging the west shore. The runs were 5 kms long, with the last 2.5 in bearaway mode when the gust came through. My best speeds and NM were following Kato along the run. The wind eased at 9.30 and we came in, derigged and headed back to town for a coffee, breakfast and to get warm. We headed back at 12.30 to do an hour and clock up another century.

Finally some wind! Good to get out for a sail with Jays and Jemmo! Trev packed up just as I got there... Was slightly overpowered but after the last few days of being screwed by the forecast it didn't bother me too much...  there was a wind shadow in the middle by the markers so I could sail though it to kite beach...
Lota was nice, but I don't like sailing solo there... Saw Cocky2 there but he only did one run...

Well at least we got some wind, although patchy. Been resisting getting some bigger gear.... Pay for it on days like today!!

Still good to get out with Jemo, Rolz & Nick.
