First time to have a full sesh at Wally world. Pretty gusty with some small short chop. getting back upwind was a struggle. Still good to see Jase and Woody get the PBs.

2456 days ago Safety Bay, WA, AU. Nice after work session when I finally made it on the water. Tide was so low the weed was out of the water! Sorry about the alpha backup, Craig. I did come in a try a couple but that weed island obviously threw off my entry - I had 4 x 25.5 alphas at 53-55m... Oh well, can't say I didn't try! Another great session today

Awesome sesh at Peli today, probably the nicest conditions I have ever had there. I was originally intending to sail at Melville, but the freeway was a complete clusterfxck, so I bailed and headed to Peli instead. Good call I reckon .
It looked proper windy, so I rigged the 90 Gladiator + 7.0 TR9 + 27 Tribal WS. I rarely use a small board on the river, but today was mint, I was planing almost the whole time and the small board was great bearing away in the chop.
I tried for speed off the point, but the best pressure didn't line up with the flat water, so I maxed out at 35K. Stoked with the mile, which is a river PB, it's taken me over 10 years in the GTC to crack a 30K+ Swan River mile, and I did it twice today (the second fastest was 30.31)
This sesh goes straight to the pool room, so much fun I can't stop smiling thinking about it

2456 days ago Point Walter, WA, AU. That was so much fun!! PW really turned it on with good tides and wind, good suggestion Anita. Awesome to share the stoke with Boz, Anita, Kenny and great to meet Woody finally, congrats on the PBs. The view back over the sandbar to Pinnaroo Island as we were derigging was priceless, we are so lucky to have such places to enjoy in our backyards.

My second session in two days - almost unheard of for me, but the wind this afternoon was too good to turn down.
Point Walter became Pinnaroo's point this afternoon as five Pinnaroos turned up to play. There was not even one kiter, and only one other windsurfer (Jay?) who sailed by briefly late in the afternoon.
The tide was perfect, the wind gusty and strong, but the short sharp chop made top speeds hard to come by. It was more like sailing over corrugations and reminded me of the road to Jim Jim falls in Kakadu. I tried various settings but none made much difference to the speed, though some made considerable difference to the comfort. Setting the mast track right back had me bouncing around so much I came unhooked multiple times. Sailing back up wind in the choppier water was an effort. Still it was fun to have this beautiful location to ourselves and to share the stoke with some of the guys who had not sailed at Point Walter before, and especially those who had scored PBs. It is not the easiest place to get top speeds, but good speed is there for the taking if a gust comes along at the right time.
Just as we were saying good bye and discussing plans for the weekend, I said "I can't go anywhere, I am on call" and as if on cue, my phone rang, and I had to go back to work. Fortunately I did have time to go home to change first.
