JP HF 135L, NP RSR E6 7.8m, NP Flight Al

It didn't start out that way with the distinct aroma of skunk in the air.

Rigged up and on the water with Stroppo at 0805 thinking we could tack up wind to the wind line, the only problem was that wind line was afragment of our twisted imagination and after about an hour of chugging the wind was getting lighter so I decided to go back in.

On shore, got out of the glad raggs and got into the civies, a quick check of the phone showed a yellow arrow in mandurah (admittedly ENE is a pretty prime wind direction to maximise the reading) still decided to hang around for a bit just in case Strop came back in also smelling of skunk.

We hung around for about 20 mins and sure enough our eyes were playing tricks on us again so working on the Buggerit principal of "it can't be any worse than before" Stropp went out whilst I got back into my wet gear.

Different kettle of fish this time, Stropp being further out was gliding along nicely, I was not feeling the love with a fair amount of chugging until I finally managed to get a bit of a gust, oh yeah redemption.

Some nice flights today dodging the knobs in their boats, the foil makes it a breeze just gliding over the boat wakes.

Stroppo's thumb seems to have lost it's mojo as there were no unexpected dismounts today apart from gybes.

Following Tomski's advise, I'm concentrating on the basics which seems to be paying dividens.

Thoroughly enjoyed myself such a gorgeous feeling gliding over everything.

Albany, WA, AU Harding rd . Another fun day on the water in albany with Jeremy , Cliff , Glenn and young Fergus. A lot more water and wind today.

Decided to call it a day after Jeremy's big crash with an unidentified object !! Surprised Cool

Koncept 6.2, Sonic 85L + FF20

It's a fine line between pleasure & pain.

Awesome Albany NM fun with Shane! A bit of a struggle to go upwind in the chop but the runs downwind were so much fun.

The pain bit was Sailinf along at 31 knots when there was a thud & nect minute I'm twisted up like a Pretzel in the sail underwater. Everything from the top of my head to my ribcage hurts & will probably be worse tomorrow Cry

Still great fun though Cool

Gah, missed the 37 by that much.

Woo-hoo! great to see that the thumb of misadventure has lost it's power & you had some fun gliding time Elmo.

Nice to see you got a sail in Hardie, looks like there is a bit more wind forecast for tomorrow at LG. Enjoy Smile

Woohoo Albantarticans! Nice handful of fab PBs, Shane and Millpond Laughing How close are your numbers?! Half a can of baked beans would have got you both over the 37 mark.

Morts - any damage to your kit? Or is just a flesh wound...( I hope you dont pull up too sore tomoz Frown)

Grats on your PB's ladsCool

Morts sounds like you're unlucky to dismount considering your weedy should have glided you over your unknowable object :-(

Great PBs Shane and Jeremy!!!

Looks like you've both got that NM run sussed, gives our monthly numbers a nice boost. Any chance of an hour tomorrow?

I thought Simon and my numbers were close on Friday, but I think you two beat us.

Jeremy and Shane those are some beautiful numbers. I am really pleased the forecast delivered today. As Mike said there’s but a hairs breadth between your speeds. Quite remarkable 😀. Hope you pull up ok after the dismount. Sounds scary.

Thanks for the well wishes. No chance I'll be sailing tomorrow Frown Hoping I'll be right for next weekend as I think I've tweaked a lot of bits.

Gear seems ok on first inspection. Have a feeling it was a Ray, there have been quite a few hanging around lately especially when the tide is a bit higher like today. Sounded a bit fleshy to me but I'm no expert.

Steve a huge thanks for your sacrifice, without selflessly working this weekend none of this would have been possible!

On the plus side, did 5nm & all were better than my previous PB Cool

Great stuff Albanians. Congrats on the PBs Jeremy and Shane, you two are really pushing each other along! 😎 I hope the injuries aren’t too bad Jeremy, at least you got a decent sail out of it... Joe, good distance, you must have been enjoying yourself 👍

Super PBs there, guys! Especially the nautical miles. I am wishing I had been there, but unfortunately I am another sacrifice who had to work this weekend.

More PBs from Shane and Morts . Good sailing.

There are other more dignified and less painfull ways to stop Morts. Heal quickly so that you can try them.
