Islandboydaz (720km): Hamilton Island, QLD, AU got my new harness so back on the water | ||||||||||||||||||
dr cam (41674km): Green Island, QLD, AU Wind 20-32 knots SSE-S ...Squally/super rough /very high tide this morning . Used the 2018 Iso 80 (2nd time) Tribal sw 29 & RSR E9 6.4. Was a good combination for today . Early session was hairy -1.5 extra meter of tide on the reef flat so crazy conditions -doing 30 knots felt like 43 ...!!! 1st run after lunch gave me a 43.25 on the dial -must have been a spike . Had 20mins of beautiful flat water from 110-130 which coincided with the wind dropping by ~ 8 knots-aggghhhrrrr. Great fun /amazing spot -hope to be back tomorrow ...

Benny McCarthy (15191km): Holloways Beach, QLD, AU Quick little sail with Freddo, Ian & Tony. Much more fun than yesterday's fiasco. Chose the safe option rigging the Severne Convert 6.7 with the bigger board- Exocet Speed Slider 135 & BP 47.5 fin. Got out on the water just before midday & called it a day just before a squall came through presenting super strong wind for a few minutes then dialling back to barely any. Felt I timed my last run spot on getting back to point before it all turned to poo. Water was a bit washing machine like and we were having to punch into the swell due to the more Southerly direction, but all in all, a bit of fun with good company as always. Ian (2269km): Holloways Beach, QLD, AU. A short and rough midday sail with Fred, Ben and Tony. sailed on the 90 Futura with 33WS fin and initially an Aerotech 6M but was way over powered so rigged the North 5 M but when the squall hit was still over powered. Decided to call it a day early before I hurt myself in the choppy sea gusty winds.
I thought Ben sailed well given the challenging conditions.
Andrew I hope your arvo sail at Port was better than ours at Holloways, and you didn’t repeat ED’s antics of yesterday.

Freddy Burke (12114km): Not my best sailing effort but thought I'd post to comfirm Ian and Ben put their toes in!! Could not seem to keep the board on the water so after a couple of runs gave it a miss....wind was very gusty and I could not handle it. On the other hand Ian and Ben (our man of the match) did very well and deserves a pat on the back for his effort. For a bloke who does not put his feet in the straps...amazing. Tony the truckie also had a couple of runs and retired early commenting the wind was a little over powering out wide. Maybe a better effort next time. ISONIC 117, KA KYOTE 7.2, VENOM 42-44 FIN

Snorkel962 (11888km): Light wind session on slalom board- lots and lots of pumping but 'twas good |
