Lovely day in the smooth waters of Burrum, had a ball tyoday on better size gear and cruisey sailing. Not as fast as it felt but good to get a few Ks down anyway.

holloways beach with Benny,Kel,Gaz and Pete.....little while between sails but quite enjoyable.

Benny looked very good holding a 7.8 sail with the rest of us using 6.6 or 7.0.

Was a little lumpy but not unexpected....and once it started dropping off all of us we back

on the beach.

Billy...you were very much missed.

Holloways Beach, QLD, AU 6.6 Koncept, Isonic 120 43 Alloy fin.

Very enjoyable relaxed sail with my cracked rib and Shingles. Did bearaways unharnessed as I didn,t want to risk a catapult with the  rib still not 100%.

Got given  the Koncept for free yesterday, had to sticker up a crack in one panel but very happy with this sail.Laughing

Port Douglas, QLD, AU late arvo sail with Andrew and Ian,got one run in with Ian before he knocked off,I couldn't realy catch him think he had a good session.. Andrew sailed very well  and looked like he could of kept sailing forever..but left his GPS at home...I had to stay hard on the wind the whole time as i missed the good out going tide ..Ran out of fuel at sundown was feeling 'shagged and sore' before i rigged up..97lt Isonic 6.6m North rig big fin..

Mackay, QLD, AU

Totally misjudged wind strength which dropped out while rigging and ended up underpowered on 6.5 and 112 FSW combo. Perserved for a while then changed up to 7.5, but ended up badly underfinned. Should have known better.

Holloways Beach, QLD, AU

Very short little sesh with a good turn out of crew- sailed with Freddo, Kel, Gaz & Peter.

Water looked like a churned chocolate milkshake...  Took a while rigging the Severne OD 7.8 to go with the outdated Exocet 135 & BP 47.5 fin.  Top cam popped off the baton when rigging initially, so there was a bit of buggering around to be had before getting out on the water.

Nice to be sailing with so many experienced crew.  Freddo looked to be having fun skipping along comfortably.  Listened to some helpful tips from Gaz when derigging.

Felt much better handling the chop with the front clodhoppers in the straps- had to really jam them in even with the straps fully opened up...  I am thinking to either get a foot size reduction or try some Drake ultralight footstraps- Does any know where I can purchase some of these?

Still some seriously good fun had all the way!...  we were missing B1 today.

Port douglas today

Like Andrew, My GPS  had a holiday  sitting next to the computer at home Frown

15 to 20 knots  so used Aerotech 6M , Furura 90 and a 34 cm fin

Was comforatble most of the day it somewhat underpowered.  When ED came out a squall stured the incoming tide  and made things interesting.

Good place for the gps Ian. Mine is beside the computer as well, should last for years if I don't get it wet.

Glad everyone had a good sail over the weekend. If anyone is around next weekend I`m heading down to Kurramine for the long weekend. We have booked the house on the corner near The CWA units. Plenty of room if anyone wants to stay.

Hope to see you on the water soon

From SE Qld to Port Douglas - Well done lads.

Looks like there was some reasonable breeze down at Burrum yesterday. Couple of photo's on Seabreeze and the bank looked sensational. Young Shield Crusher (Sunshine Coast Vikings) bested Mum (Astrid) in all 5 catagries. I guess the coaching has just finished.

Dave and Snorkel - nice PB's gents. Cracking effort. Sailpilot - nice NM mate. That would have been a magic carpet ride, sitting just off the bank!!!

Troy, I can see why you guys are severly restricted in your sailing times - WOW, that tide goes out for KM's. Well done on getting out.

To the local crew - nice to see so many out on the water's off Cairns and PD.
