kato (37642km): Lake George, SA, AU Whooo, first 40 for the Carbon Art 52. Being trying for awhile to get it there and this one was just so easy. Not too shaby for the old girl. Gave me some other good numbers too. Started the day watching Tricky and one other having a quick sail while Daffy and I slowy got things rigged and organised. A wet, cold wetsuit makes it hard to get wet again. Great day for chasing one hrs and Nm,so that was the aim. One done Still can get the odd Pb Good have been even better it I hadnt touched the bottom and had to sprint to the deeper water. Great day CA SL 52,MXR 20 weedie 45,Koncept 5.8

Sailquik (29582km): Lake George, SA Another top day on the Golden Lake. Tried to get out early but ended up still rigging when Trick and Jason came in! We had pretty consistent wind all day even though it was forecast to diminish. That only happened just as we packed up at about 3.30pm Went out on the Speed board first with 5.4m and not really powered up off the wind. 39 peaks and 37 10's. After I while I came in and got the already rigged 6.2m. Had a few runs and got the best 2 sec and indicated 41.2, but nothing to back it up so came in for a rest. Craig cooked me some army rations Morrocan Lamb (way out of date - but palatable) Went back for 1 hour attempt. I broke my harness line halfway through the first one. Took me over half and hour to come in and fix it. Went for a second one. Fully lit on the 5.4m Kopncept and IS slalom but couldnt push through the chop in the middle without spinouts. Pushing hard in the flats without a problem on the BP 50 weedspeed 20cm(25). But even this fin was draggtng me back badly in the really thick floating weed so I tried to avoid it which shortend the runs a bit. I passed Kato a few time and he was motoring!! After another hour I had had enough! Looking forward to a hot shower and found the CP showers were COLD! Arrrgghhh! Hope they are fixed for tomorrow! Looks like only 15-20 knots tomorrow so I will probably hit the road home. It was a very nice fun trip though. And great to watch Craig hitting his straps! CA40, 2017 KA Koncept 5.4m, 16cm Kestrel fin, then IS87 with BPweedspeed 50. 20cm (25) GPS-GW-52
