Streetbob (703km): Glory Holes, Australind, WA, AU WOW what a howlwer of a day, started off on the 111 Futara with the GA 6.6 soon became totally overpowered after a couple off long runs, RATS slashed his foot on his fin the conditions got wild soon after. Changed down to the 101 Futara with a GA 5.5 was going ok but still overpowered was totally wild out there. To end the day with a bang tried to get out of STEVES way and over reached and went. ????? well just closed my eyes and held on for the ride and gave STEVE one hell of a good show , smashed my knee into the deck puting a hole ino it, knocked the wind out of my self and pierced the board with my boom end nearly cracking it to the bottom. Had no ided until i stood up and saw the carnige. What a ride WILD WILD WILD Lived to sail another day. Shit happens ey. | ||||||||||||||||||
BSN101 (13816km): AB+95 Tribal WS 29,25 NP Hornet 6.2 A pretty over the top day. Plenty of carnage at GH and entertainment. We didnt get the most of the wind because the chop was trying at the best of times. Still we all had a good session with the 3 of us on the water. Steve is a machine and Streetbob is King of Carnage to equipment. Me, well i put a harness dent in the 6.2, bugger! Ratz had a trip to ED. Otts rested during the heavy stuff. Old Salt (13930km): Mad rough choppy day, with huge wind at various times. The speeds shown just dont do the wind justice, it was just too choppy to go much faster. Ratz's had a nasty fin chop injury to the top of his left foot and a smaller one to the back of the knee on the right leg. Hope they stitched you up ok at ED mate and that its a quick recovery. Now Ive just got to say, Chris's crash was one of the biggest I have seen in recent history, with a very destroyed board at the end of it. Lucky he's bionic and survived well. I'll be interested to see if that was on your GoPro. Dave faired well after missing the invasion party from Busselton, but turned up a little later to show us how its done in tough conditions. We all need the team captain to make sure we put in a fair effort. Otts showed up early and was the quiet achiever, and then Slugger appeared after work and asked what we all do for a living for being able to sail on wednesdays NCX 5.5, Isonic 54.5 then Isonic 52.5, Tribal WS 23 Glory Holes, Australind, WA, AU |
