Looked sunny and warm so sporting the board shorts and rashie felt like the right thing to do but after a few stacks over the sand bar I realised how cold the water really was. Got a nice few runs in through with a bit of floating around in between, Some good powered up moments too, just gusty, the 6.6 was perfect but never lit up just powered. A few out but not a top day for it to be honest and I went home pretty quickly. 97/6.6/27

Beautiful sunshine and a good blat around with Kenny and Darryl
Some nice runs up Melville end. Awesome seeing one of Darryls smoking runs up that end too.
Best NM on the foil so far.

Expected a nice 15 knot seabreeze but was well lit on the 5m and foil. Some gusts up to 23 knots in the middle of the river where the boat chop was a higher than the length of the foil mast so a lot of board slapping going on. Lunny and Darryl out showing hows it done. Some nice smooth flights near Melville first pylon.

My first sail in over a month, and I am still recovering from the dreaded lurgy so I thought I'd take it easy and go for a short light wind sail. The wind decided to be a bit more than light and I didn't want to overdo it with the 7.5 I had brought, so I nearly didn't go out, but JJ came to the rescue with his 6m which was just right. I was still amazed at how much strength and fitness I have lost, but it felt good to be back out sailing again, and it was soooo nice to catch up with my buddies again. JJ, Neil, Vince and everyone else, I have missed you! BTW Taemi is under the impression that I know everyone in Perth because I introduced her to so many people today. She gave it a good crack, made progress, had a good time and is keen to give it another try.
Vince won the iceberg award and amazed us all by heading out in boardies with no rashie or wetsuit. He said he was trying to give himself more incentive to stay dry on the gybes, but alas it didn't work. Don't let the blue sky fool you, it was very chilly out there today.

Fun sesh on the big gear.
Got to Peli around 3:20 and the consensus on the beach was that it was gusty, more like a frontal breeze than a thermal sou'wester, so I went large...M137 + 8.4 TR8 + 44 Vector Volt.
Good call. It was pretty patchy out there, but I found some nice pressure and lit up the big combo a few times. Good to catch up with JJ and Neil, and nice to be back at my local, last sesh at Peli was back in May
