Lucky Bay, or not so lucky :)
Had some high hopes for a sweet blast over the melvilee sandbar but it never really filled in. I got some lucky runs around 1pm but it kind of died away, typical melville, let out all the outhaul and just bagged about. Anyways good to sneak some runs in between house chores, nothing much to add score wise but the water was sensational and feels like summer. Looking forward to seeing how others managed further south in the great mystical land of weedy smoothness, How was the super weed Boz??Did it cut through ok?

Nice cruisey session.

Could have done with riiging bigger but expected it to be stronger. Came in stronger at 5ish but i couldnt hang around unfortunately.

A real teaser of summer.

Expecting a blat on the slalom gear but the wind didnt fill in. Lucky I brough the foil woth me. A lot of yacht chop made it hard going in the middle.

Perfect foiling seabreeze 12-18 knots. Wind didn't kick in as expected to make it worthwhile getting the slalom board out.

Fine by me - awesome fun again on the foil. The Time Code 68 wing is primo for downwinding Cool

That was fun. Started with big gear then changed to WindTech 64 cm and 6.3 Ka Kind of kicked in near the end but the chop was ridiculous.

A lovely afternoon on the water. There didn't seem to be much wind when I rigged, but I rigged conservatively on account of low fitness. Surprisingly the 6.5 was enough for easy planing most of the time, and even became a bit of a handful late when the seabreeze picked up.

The smaller sail was easier to sheet in and my gybing was better than usual - I even registered an alpha on KA 72 today, so my minimum speed in the gybes must have been better than usual. I didn't drop any until the wind became too strong to sheet in on the gybes. I think over the winter I have forgotten how to depower the sail...

I was enjoying myself and wanted to keep going but the muscles were saying it would be wise to stop, so I did.

What an interesting day, started off light and just cruising around to sussout the weed bergs, couple of the usual Mob and Coastal turned up only to ponder about how the forcast wasn'tlooking too exiting, I even sent Jase a message at 3.30 telling him it was light and looked like a skunked day, just before packing up decided to go for another light wind sail and then boom wind kicked in at times too much for the 6.3 but as it was getting late persited with the sail, good tocatch upwith the boys and a bit of chin wagging waiting for Oaf to return back after gear failure at Point Grey.

Jase super weedy okay for Lipton’s taking a break waiting for wind, not much to report fr here, Stropo’s chatting paragliding Elmo out with the 165l board and 7.8 so you didn’t miss much, will give it another hour to see if a bit of wind eventuates😁

7.8!!! Ok, cool, conditions sounds a lot like up here. Good feedback on the fin, it is getting close to the weed season :)

Great effort Boz, and reward for patience! Sounds like the wind booted in late everywhere.

You made the right call in going to Liptons, and improved our scores in 5 categories today, with good backup from Windtech and Lunny.

Thanks everyone, for a good team turnout, and giving it your best. Pity the wind didn't come in sooner

Sue, yes it does. I just need to improve my fitness so the drive down there will be worthwhile.
