Lilacs JP54SP TR17 6.3 Elmo 19.5 at 48 deg

Great to be on the water again. Shane and I sailed, Morts worked. I think we got the better deal. A nice easterly..... it felt cold, tep was probably 16 C or more. Just getting soft!

Elmo weedy felt slippery down wind, went up wind ok. At the end I moved the boom up and had terrble spinout. It is interesting ho much effect it had.

I tried Shane's 6.6 HSM. it pulls like a train. Wow.

Let's hope this is a sign of a big season of easterlies.

Shoalwater, WA, AU    Foiling gear, 6.5 2XC

Another Shoalwater session today and joined by Stroppo and Darryl who I hadnt met before. Man he knows how to sail a foil board. It was like watching an advertising promo video.

11th foiling session today and made my first attempts at gybing. Fell off on the first and made the second one, not on the foil the whole time but still pretty stoked about it. Apart from the failed gybe only one crash today again. Having so much fun in these light winds but still alot to learn.

Rog, I didn’t go down because it wasn’t worth it just for one arvo, I wanted wind today also. Forecast was good earlier in the week, but then evaporated. Instead, I’ve had SO much fun on the mower, brush cutter and chainsaw dealing with all the jobs that have been neglected whilst windsurfing over the last 6mths. I think i realise my error, I should have made a sacrifice to the wind gods right from the get go. Which brings me to the point of this post, there may be a 2nd chance, next weekend is starting to look promising in Albany. Now I know I’m going to get flamed for giving it the kiss of death again, but the difference is that this time I will make the necessary sacrifice to the gods. So what is the necessary sacrifice? Well, duh, obviously windsurfing gear. Now I don’t really want to start destroying my own gear, but I have a cunning alternative: One More Knot gear. I have 2 of their boards in my shed currently, one is Dave’s and the other Chris’s. Dave has 50 odd boards, he’ll never notice one is gone. Chris doesn’t have so many, umm sorry Chris, it’s for a good cause. So now I’m off to start my bonfire. Thanks OMK

Sell the boards in your shed and buy a foil. More time on water.

Stretch I think you are on the right track with the Soft Knot kit sacrifice idea. I assume you have been charging them rent for the space the boards are occupying in your shed, so make sure you weigh up the financial loss burning their kit would incur.
Sorry, I just re read that, I have no idea where my head is at. It's a no brainer, Of course burn their kit, but it would be a more significant offering if we could convince Imelda Soft Knot to add to the pyre. I think we need another cunnning plan to add to your cunning plan....Wink

Thanks Fangy. Praise from the master of cunning plans, I am humbled. Meanwhile the soft knots still seem blissfully unaware?

Go for it Stretchy, but I wouldnt wanna mess with Chris!!!! But if you do make room at work to store your kit because as you know I dont work and I know where you live!!! Wo Ha Ha Ha !

How would it feel destroying the 101 thats Chris's that was your board? You should be helping him out by fixing the nose of it that YOU destroyed in the first place.

Shame Fangster!

Yes Evil Fangy!! Bad windsurfing karma will only come from the madness of brain that thinks of burning a perfectly good windsurfing board! Shame Shame Shame.... (bad Hinch take off YellLaughing)

And look out Mr Stretch! Dave's evil laugh (Wo Ha Ha Ha) is always ominous! I would be making for the hills right now. Cool

Eeek!! Big Bad Imelda Dave in is on the warpath! I wonder could if we chuck him in and see if he floats. I am pretty sure when a witch floats you can burn them for witchcraft. Foot in mouthLaughing

LaughingLaughingLaughing yep, all that momentum muscle has me floating like a cork. But that is just plain ol' physics, just like a duck floats because of its religious beliefs. Soft Knotters on the other hand, float because of the evil within. To quote Soft Salt from above "..Wo Ha Ha Ha.."

( And besides, its' not as though Stretch is unfamilair with a toxic plume of smoke in his vicinity Tongue out)
