Byron Mcilveen (64411km): Wallis Lake, NSW, AU S2 venom 8.4 and 7.7 falcon Bp weed fins Day 2 GPS/slalom series we had tto GPS races in light southerly first race with 8.4 second with 7.7 but should have been on 8.4 just didnt kick and was way underdone and strugling shity weed fin doesnt help. Such a great place and sooo good to sail 6 races in two days with every one. Such a great atmosphere with friendly windsurfers Realy enjoyed the new formate of using starts and marks on the Saturday made it WAY more exciting.
Bruce Healey (24292km): Wallis Lake, NSW, AU Waited for the southerly. First GPS a bit light then it kicked in too strongish so swapped from 7.7 CASL70 to 6.6 RS2 and of course it dropped off. Should not have changed. So a bit underdone for the second half hour but it kicked in a bit and was so sweet, flat water, pleasant sailing that I went from totally stuffed "5 minutes will do me" to staying for the full 1 hour. Great weekend, thanks Muz, Greg, Byron, Walshy and James for organising it.
sboardcrazy (25098km): 10-20kts SSW Wallis Lake, NSW, AU 6.6m KA Koncept - RS4 (111ltres)- 43cm makani weedy then RS2 - 33 makani weedy then iso80 one run 20cm FF and then 28cm Maui Ultra weedy. Boring stats but wow what fun! I don't know how you guys do it.. I didn't even race yesterday and I was a total zombie this am..the brain wouldn't work and I was SO tired..too tired to think about racing. I just wanted to have a less powered relaxed sail. Went out for a run or two on the big board but felt there was enough for more fun on the 90ltre.Pretty powered up in the gusts but ok in the lulls. Took the RS2 out for a while and fun but I felt an 80 would be a better fit in the chop. Thought about trying a jump but whimped.. I haven't used the 80 ltre in anything other than small chop with a few rollers at LG but it was time to face my fears and try it. I was worried it would be too fast and a handful but it was fantastic! Much better size..I was wanting more gusts..later in the day it flattened out pretty well. There was good wind up near the sandbar but a bit patchy where the guys were racing. The weedbed in the middle flattened things out but i couldn't score any wind there..A few bearaways in 1' chop..Total buzz! I tried the 20cm FF for one run as i was hoping to sail the sandbar. It went great and held in the 1-11/2 ft chop but I knew how small it was so i opted for a larger fin for peace of mind. Gybes were pretty average but dry.. Buggered.. Think I need a chiropractor..Although I didn't race i had 3 terrific if sometimes challenging sailing and great company. Thanks Marmong Point Sailing Club / the guys for putting the event on!

Murray Towndrow (8653km): Wallis Lake, NSW, AU Slippery southerly with the weedie always stuggling to stay online 8.4, 136 7.7 114 (should have stayed on 136 8.4) Think we made the most of what we got, great weekend away
James Farley (12722km): Wallis Lake, NSW, AU Day 2 NSW GPS Series Heat 1 - Wind SW 10-20 knots Exocet RS6, TR8 7.6, Vmax 43 Exocet RS4, TRX 7.0, JP Weed 36 Pretty sore and tired today, but Byron gave us the pep talk and out we went for 2 more freerace sessions. Lots of weed around so Vmax pointer in first race was a bit of struggle when underpowered, but better in the gusts. Thought it was picking up so switched down a board and sail size, but should have stayed on the big gear. Great weekend and thanks to Muz, Walshy, Azza and Byron + Greg on the boat for making it all happen! KA72 says my best alpha for this year water was nice and flat so stacks of fun.
Ian Wright (16360km): Wallis Lake, NSW, AU Day 2 of the NSW GPS Round 1. Sky was grey but the rain held off and the southerly came. Happy days. SSW 10 to 20ish at the peak and then died off. But well worth it. Nice long runs in relatively flat water. Futura 122, Loft switchblade 7.8 and then R6 overdrive 7m. JP 36 weedy. The wind actually reached it,s peak at the end of the first race ?? and most decided to change down thinking it was still building, but it gradually dropped off. Oh well, it was still a great day of sailing at a great place ,with a great bunch of guys and girls. Thanks to Organising Commitee. Marmong Point Sailing Club , Greg for the huge effort out in the boat, compeditors and thier families for a great weekend. It would be nice to see a few new faces at these events. It is a geat way to improve your sailing skills, meet people and promote the sport we all love.
