Top sail, probably should have saved the energy for the better tide but could not resist.  Tried a 28 fin today and spunout going on to the speed run first time but was okish being gentle.  First sess at Wello with a local 2sec PB yay and then headed down to Lota where all the peeps were for a few runs but the little fin struggled to put me on the run cleanly so experiment over even flat stuff, might try a 30.

Awesome day. Got to try my new 89L and loved it. Balls of steel needed to give it a crack over the chop. Stayed up at Wellington Point and when wind came in decided to come in. Went over the handle bars and banged up some ribs which are a bit sore.

Sailed the F-race 100, KARace 6.3, Clockwood 32 till about 4.30 and then tried the Mistal 55 speed with Clockwood 30 for three runs at the end. Improved my 2 sec by 0.5 kt with my first run on the Mistral. The wind was solid 20+ today. At times I was overpowered on the 6.3.

Was a tough day at the office today, just got smashed in the chop at Wello, Kudos to Chriso for the PB! Was really intense... I had two massivel spin-outs coming down the bank and had to bail, both were over 36knots... bouncing on the water!!

Then had to help out some kiter that had a massive crash trying to self land his kite... poor bloke had to get the ambo's called as his arm was pretty badly broken.

From the looks of it Lota was the place to be... I just wasn't brave enough like Chriso to make the trip across.

Congrats to MrKeen and RJD! So many PB today!!

Very good wind for once water started off rough but slowly flatten off as the tide dropped plenty out going for it.
