Got to Lota first and rigged the new 6.3 KA race, everyone turned up and started to rig 5.6 except Brad was both nervous and excited!!

In the end the sail was rock solid. Good sailing with a great bunch today. Hope your face is ok Chriso, nice turn (the second one!!)Cool

Manly, QLD, AU Mistral 95 / 55 wide speed board, New Koncept 5.7, Tribal SW25

Some days everything just feels right. We had a solid 20 to 25 kts at Lota creek where the best wind coincided with the best tide with a great crew of GPS sailors. The new Koncept 5.7 rigged beautifully out of the bag, with some adjustments to cams ( the 2nd, 3rd and 4th cams were upside down), luff length (I rigged 412cm the sail said 419cm), the sail has very deep draft, great twist and rotated beautifully. The Mistral and Tribal fins are old friends. The whole setup was balanced and felt great. With a 37.8 kt 2 sec on the dial for the first run, I new it was going to be a good session. As the water flattened out, I got a bit faster on each run. The 39 is a QLD PB. Lots of smiles out there today.

on the water at wello at 3 - thought I would take a run to Lota to see if water still OK - got smashed a couple of times on the way down - 2 runs there and than headed back and sailed the wello bank for the arvo - wind was too far noerth and the water was verry chopy but still good fun.

What an experience today. first time at Lota and thanks to Chriso and John S for help with gear and explaining the layout.

Congratulations on all the performances today. I saw some great how to's today.

Unfortunately I couldn't get it together and crashed through my sail.

I tried to get some video and never had the camera adjusted correctly.

Still great to be out with such a great bunch of sailors and I will try again maybe in 15 to 20 kn weather just to get the hang of it.
