Dutchies session so good, steady breeze compared to melville over the last couple days nice to be back in the ocean again. JJ out with the foil and a heap of kiters launching from our normal spot also nearly ran into two kyakers doing downwinders, they are low to the water and the swell keeps them out of sight if they are in a trough, probably scared them more than me, I'm sure on there forum they probably have a few choice words to say about windsurfersSmile

Windfoil, Foilville

17-21kn felt gale force for me on the foil. A fair bit of survival stance going on.

Darryl made it look very comfortable.

Great to have a beer afterwards at the ever popular Snides pop up bar.

Be interesting to find out what the go was with 2 rogue kites being salvaged by the safety boats from the yacht club. Pretty sure it was Neil that

alerted them. Would have been good if the humans attached to them let the water police know they were adrift, if they made it ashore that is?

Super fun session at Peli, arrived a bit late but it kicked in just enough. Loved every moment.

What an amazing  place to sail! Warm, consistent breeze, city backdrop , great people... we are so lucky to live here.Smile

125Rocket, 7.5 Turbo, 29 ws

Would have been perfect when I rigged but the wind picked up so was overpowered at times.

Water nice and flat near the point.

All in all an enjoyable day (got a few planing gybes) and will sleep well tonight.

Hey Lunny. yep I saw two kites and thought that one was helping the other, but as I got closer I saw nobody. The lines of the blue kite were submerged and dragging something heavy it seemed and my first thoughts were 'oh shit, a collision and one person is unconcious and being dragged'

I sailed down to the guy coaching the  dinghys and yelled to him to check it out. Somehow he heard me and understood and blasted upwind to them. I think by the way he reacted that he thought the same. He started pulling up the lines and up came a board with a pretty nice foil attached  all tangled with a huge bundle of lines and booms from the kites. Thankfully no body...I was relieved expecting the worst.

So they both were towing the foilboard which was being pulled downwards due to the angle it was snagged.

So the guy just chucked it back and carried on ...but I didn't hang around to see if another boat came out. Hope they got their gear back ok.

I was told some frantic kiter drove in to Peli and asked a few crew if they saw anything. ( Typical kiter ...not knowing wind directions Smile)
