Hardie (35820km):
2154 days ago 2 categories Liptons, Testing the new pepefoil 21/48. Probably at the lower end of it;s wind range, about 15 to 18kts, maybe 20kt gusts? Could feel the accelaration from the rear of the board it was noticeably different to yesterday, I think this has more lift than the Pepeweeds, but too hard to tell only a subjective opinion? mistral speed 55/95 tr16 6.3m
Edit: Another observation is the fin is weed abrasive resistant, I sailed through a lot of shallow weedy areas which would have abraded the carbon pepeweeds requiring sanding before next sail, the pepefoil G10 remained buttery smooth with no evidence of abrasion.

Really enjoyable sail in clear water, just enough wind to play in the pond with the 104L, then went for few laps in the open when the tide came up a little. Had a ball, few kites and windsurfers out but not too much, perfect day in the sun

Looks like I will be going to Cerventes if only to do a few of the races, so some more chop practice at SB.
Another stunning day nicely powered up with the kit I used. Got to re grip the 92 this week as its getting a bit slippy.

2154 days ago 2 categories Totally stuffed today by being miles too optimistic! It's all the Fin's fault he was plugging a 5.8 knocept into his refurbished 48cm board. So thinking the wind was a bit stronger than yesterday, I plugged the 20cm@55 into my 48 and rigged the 6.2 koncept. Same size board as Fin and a bigger sail, what could go wrong. No idea what, because Fin was flying around and I couldn't get planing, so dogged up wind for about half an hour and only made it half way. Should have gone in after the first 5mins, but for some reason I was expecting conditions to improve. Finally relented and went back for the 53cm board and to be sure I used the 21cm@55. this got me planing and up wind into the zone fairly quickly, but I was still falling into the occasional hole, not getting any speed and tiring quickly, so just stuck my tail between my legs and called it quits.
good crew out again, another pile of Pinnas, our overseas visitors, Stretch, Slugger, Johnski, Finn and Basil

I think someone has beeen harvesting the weed the few days....
The wind was a bit light,.... so I rigged the 48board with Ka kon5.8 and El55/18cm weedy,... hopeing it would
pickup some more. But no, even so things went well.

Back to the future, picked up a nice 2006 Kinetic Gladiator, I had one when Mad Mike was a lad and I just couldn't resist slapping down memory lane. She's a little taller, skinnier and heavier than the young girls but she's built for comport
What a great day at Elmo's playground, I was just doing nice long runs down through the wind swells, felt great.
There's been a few learners at Novara going well, great to see
95L Gladiator, 32 Powermax, 6.6 Koncept, boardies and fun fun fun.

This is one Happy Slapper, Best session ever, a fantastic afternoon of lumpy goodness with Bob doing runs over to Claudesville.
Thought I'd try out the larger pointer to see how it went in the chop, which it turns out it goes rather nicely slthough it is a bit brutal on the back leg after about 5km's.
Today was more testing and tuning, getting footstraps right, sussing out mast track position (still got to go back a bit more).
Was great fun doing the long runs although the setup issues were paying havoc on my left knee (back on the bike for me).
Awesome fun, looking forward to the next session.
Oh, and I do without another pensioner in our team destroying me, but alas it seems that when they get a pension card they seem turn nasty breesing past with a cocky wave to their more unfit youthfull team mates.
