2105 days ago Melville Beach, WA, AU Fun blast around Melville and into the yachting fray and chop. Some solid runs but typically gusty.

The old fat board looked sad, so I took it for an outing.

A great team turnout on a warm, sunny but gusty day.
I rigged big when the wind was light then the trough moved inland and the wind just built and built. I wore myself out early with the 6.8 and then the 6.2 was quickly too much also. I should have changed to a smaller board but did not have the energy to go out again.
I was pleased that I completed all my gybes despite being overpowered in the chop and gustiness. They were not very stylish or smooth, but effective.
The Pinnaroos board exchange was in full swing today!

Pretty good day at Melville. Loads of people out, really had to keep an eye out on what was going on around me.
The usual gustiness and boat chop but good power on the 7.8
Used the M137 first then as the breeze picked up changed over to the Windtech SB 64. Tad quicker on the 64.
Plenty of friendly faces out there

Last minute decision to go to Liptons as I was in the area anyway. Sailed from 6-7pm and finished an hour just as the sun went down. Only had the 5m and 72 lt board in the car so was a bit underdone in the lulls. Good to catch up with Stroppo and well done on the race today.

Swapped my 80L XFire with Alan's 90L XFire.
90L was just right for today with 6.5 2xs and 29 speedweed.
Great to get some speed on the flat water over the sand bank.
Good to see so many Pinnas: Boz, Craig, Andrew, Alan, Anita, Rob and Chris out sailing.
Very happy to get over 30knots, it has been a long time. Hopefully it will not be so long before the next one.
A top day

Pleasant day out, borrowed tailwinds tabou 100l speedster, hmmm not used to riding a really comfortable board, no matter how much you wanted to get it on the edge it was always in control, thanks for the tryout but not my cup of tea so changed to an oldschool turkish shoe 8'10" Drops 55cm wide board, now we are cooking with gas. Forgot how nice the narrower old school boards sail, yes it's a sinker so you need a bit of wind but when on the plane surprisingly keeps glyding.
The biggest surprise was how well this little board gybes flat or rough dosen't matter, not surprisingly turns on a dime due to narrow tail and soft rails but what was noticable is how it comes out of a gybe on the plane. Never been a big advocate of the wider boards the narrower up to 61cm seem to suite my arkward style of sailing. 2sec 5x10 and Alpha on the Drops
