Out with Drew & Chris for a sesh. Wind came in as forecast but was a bit up & down. 7.0 was too much then not enough. I played around with upper & lower clew hols and yes it makes a huge difference.
At one of our usual launch spots with grass trees and a sandy bottom. Heaps of water today too so pointer fins not a problem at all. In the middle when it was blowinf the swells were quite large for the day. No real smooth spots and on the other side the wind shadow was playing havoc. Should have pulled rank and gone further up the end where it would have been smoother and still plenty of water. Watch out Sunday!
SailLoft 7.0 whas a great choice for today. 4 cams so plenty stable and tuning with clew height & OH works wonders. I think a little more DH would have freed its breathing a bit. It was a little heavy in the hands but much better than last time out on it. The 6.3 would have been just a smidge small but theres wind in the forecast! Great to be out with some lucky OMKers with enough wind and relatively warm water too.
I think that Drew might have smashed me on distance as he was a machine (washing machine during corners) racking up the k's while i tweaked and tested. Well done Chris on the Blast again.
