Old Salt (13930km):
1849 days ago 2 categories Early start but difficult to read the depth.... very shallow with the water up to my shins (if you know how tall I am, then that means about 3 cm of water!)
Nice fast runs but the wind was very northerly so the runs were short before you hit the deeper water and then the chop that comes with that.
Drew sailed really really well, after we set him up better than his first run. Through the sail, back in,, mild dummy spit, told him Dave and I would rig a 5.1m 7cam NP VX High wind and gave him a decent fin to test run.... wow!! what a change, pb's and a totally smoking alpha on that kit
Chris turned up but was overdone still from the last sail so played it safe.
Dave still setting the bar for OMK, thats why hes el capitano
Stretch turned up on the change of the wind to a westerly and then promptly showed us the finer things about fin selection and which covers work the best
All in all, a great day but didnt really get in the swing of things.
