Pelican Point, WA, AU

New board and fin. A bit windier than expected (19-25 knots) so was able to try out the manta 54 and powermax 28. The "speed board" handles the chop quite well. Might take some time getting used to gybing it though. The fin goes well with the board probably more so when its windier than it was today. Felt good to use a pointer for once.

Good to sail at peli point again and chat with JP and other locals.

Bit of a test today for tommorowsattempt at a Hr, got suckered into going too deep in the shallows by Strop not realising he had a delta fin and I didn't, got caught out so dropped speed on 2 occasions, ah well tomorrows the day hopefully.

Arrived to wind and saw Boz and Stoppo doing nicely. Rigged as the wind died out. Good to see Dave and Elmo and have a chat. Good sessions for Stoppo and Boz today.Smile

Peli Pt. Skunked again by the stormy breeze. Blowing all day, then backed off at 4pm when I set out. Gusty crap same as the day before.

Nice 15-24 knots, saw Ant and Scott fanging around.

Infinity 65 wing rocks, got it to 22 knots out in the swell with 4.5 wave sail.

Lovely hour and alpha Boz, you are getting good at this. All that practice in Albany must have paid off.

Pity about hitting the bottom...

Good luck tomorrow

Boz, congrats on the hour. No gaps in the hour either.

Anita, As soon as I repair a soft deck on the mistral ill consider selling the sonic. It has done the rounds. LaughingThose old boards last forever and are fast. My old JP slalom 54 is a great board too.

Mark, love Manta 54. cheers!
