Windfoil, Foilville

A very nice warm day, even the water felt warm.

So many boats & yachts out today made it rough as guts so i was in meercat mode looking around and taking it easy.

More wind than expected. Saw a small yacht over Peli pt gybe and snap a mast, poor bugger.

Roger sorry mate, you still have a few days left before the end of 2019LaughingCool Testing the 2020 KAR in safeey bay chop, performs just as well, no speeds today as was going for an hr, wind a bit patchy the KAR wanted more wind handles so nicely, time to put it down a speed coursein smooth waters.

Nice upwind/downwind from dutchies to Port beach. Seeing hundreds of kites coming from rottnest to Leighton was quite a sight. Good to catch up with JJ and Claude.

Pelican Point, WA

Nice session out on the 72 WindTech SB with 7.8 Loft Racing Blade and a variety of fins from 34 to 40. Saw Pointman out on his maiden voyage of the 64 Silver Bullet - looked like he was enjoying himself even though the wind was a bit sketchy at times.

Maiden voyage on my new Windtech 64 today at Peli (I'm not counting yesterday's short grovel at Dutchies before I came to my senses and rigged the foil).

Paired with the 7.6 TR9 and a 34 Techtonics Talon she was a very sweet combo and I look forward to many more sessions on this set-up.

Ordinarily in a gusty 15-20K at Peli I'd be on my Mistral 137 and an 8.4, but new toys demand to be ridden, so I took a chance on the 64 + 7.6.

The breeze was a bit patchy, but I found a few nice gusts and really enjoyed dialing in the new sled Cool

My dodgy GT-31 didn't record a session, but I turned on my smart watch which recorded a max speed of 59.6 km/h (circa 32K), so pretty happy with my first hit out.

Dutchies 18-22 knots, more wind than expected.

Flew downwind at 20 knots with the small Infinity 65 wing, small board - powered up with the 5m sail. Awesome fun Smile

Congrats on the hour Pb Pacey - I thought when you turned up that would be the end of the breeze! That was a very cruisey Sunday Session. Laughing

Thanks guys, not much of an hour but I’m sure it will improve once I figure out how to gybe large sails on big fat boards. Anita, board is very easy to sail, planes early and rides soft in chop despite being the size of an aircraft carrier. Like sailing one of those big beginner’s boards, but it goes fast too.
