Pelican Point, WA, AU

I was too impatient as the wind booted in just as I decided to pull the pin.

Had a fun blast out at Safety Bay with plenty of power for my 6.2 Sailworks NX and a 97 Simmer 3XS.

Peli Pt. A funny sess. First marginal, then it booted in for about 20 mins and then back to about 10-15. Nice to get a few figure of 8s in with the usual suspects. Sail wasn't set up for the wind when it kicked in (super top heavy in the gusts), and by the time I'd bothered to go in and add some downhaul, the wind was gone again. Hour includes a bunch of 'faffing about on the shore' time. Might have been half decent if the wind had stayed around for a bit longer. Nice to be out on the water as I could not be bothered at all with work today.

not quite as windy as hoped, but the tide was perfect, the sky was sunny, the company was good, and I didn't have time after work to drive to Liptons. On the water just before 4 pm.

Gear choice was right - the biggest I have, still mostly underpowered, but planing all the time. 40 km in an hour and a half, only stepped off the board twice - two dropped gybes out of 44.

To top off a good day, the tooth fairy delivered my new Fangy Fin while I was out on the water.

A fun session with Flatchat, Lunny, Boz, Pacey, Stroppo, Hardy & Pete. Used a normal CL Weedspeed 29 fin for the first time in ages so really enjoyed the board in chop. Manta 61 Vapor 7.1

Bit of fun trying to find and chase the elusive gusts, great company pity wind didn't boot in proper.

These summer breezes seem to be abit gutless of late. Hopefully this is not a sign of things to come. Good crew out. Everyone out having a cruisy session except for Stroppo who seems to be evolving his skills into some type of freestyle move involving a vertical pirouette over the boom, during a duck gybe. Keep working on it Glenn, as it looks promising.Cool

Tried again to get the 7.5 to work with the 97. Wind was too much then not quite enough.

Gave up and tried the Foil rig that Paul was using. Proto freeride foil with a 1m fuse, 115 foil board, proto 5.2m S1 wave sail. Very different to the race foil. Gets flying under 10 knots of board speed!

Safe to say the severne guys have foil fever. 26 days on the water in their 1st month of foiling.Surprised

Light wind

Tried 90 Xfire, 6.5 2XC, 16 CL delta. Struggled to get planing and to go upwind.

Changed to 125 Rocket with 24 delta and what a difference, it was as if there was 2 or 3 knots more wind for the same sail.

Went from a dismal day to a really enjoyable one. I know board size counts, but never really appreciated how much.

Great to see Anita chose her larger gear and have an enjoyable full session.

Rob Emery was on smaller gear and I think he would have been better on something bigger.

Great team turnout, especially for a weekday, with at least one more sailor still to post.

The wind was disappointing, but still we managed to improve our scores in 4 categories, and we have inched our way up the ladder into 4th place. Well done, team, with a good spread of jellybeans. Onwards and upwards...

Impressive naughty for the conditions, Lunny, and speed of the day to Boz, who is a good advertisement for the new KA Race sail.

Nice one Pacey. Glad my old Mistral 137 has gone to a good home! Sounds like you're enjoying it so far. Let's see you get that big hoverboard up around the high 30's or more. Use the no fear approach like Slowboat does!!
