Boombuster (66243km): Wellington Point, QLD, AU Strange wind today it seemed light but it had guts to it. Sailing with Jay but it eased after a hour and became a struggle, saw Jay go down Lota then come back thinking it would be too light to head across the bay but he said there was more down there so we headed down took me half the bay to get planning but once in the creek it was good thank Jay. After a good crack at Lota we decided to head back just as I was heading back John showed up felt bad sorry mate but I was done. Patrik110 KA Race 7.9 BP Ws42
Mr Keen (33863km): Wellington Point, QLD, AU Started fairly light but soon filled in, was a bit stonger at Manly so tried Lota, was good so the Captain reluctantly followed me back down. John showed up as we called it, Trev was heading out as we derigged. Would have to be one of the most enjoyable sessions all year Iso107, KA race 7.9, T38
Drifter (25549km): Wellington Point, QLD, AU Mistral 112, Warp 7.7, Tribal 38 (my new favourite combo) I got down to Wello about 3pm. Jayson and Glynns vehicles were in the car park but they were no where to be seen. The wind was around 15kts from the north so I surmised they were at Lota. I headed across the bay to join them. They left as I arrived, I'll try not to get a complex about this as the same thing happened on Sunday. I got a few nice runs and a good alpha before the bank went under. I headed back to Wello and spent the rest of the session playing in the lumpy goodness of the bay. Steve came down for a visit. His speed across the wind is chastening. The wind built slowly. Again the 7.7 felt great with the 112. Another top ten MBM afternoon.
Trev (3183km): Wello. 144l stardb; 7.7m. 46cm. arvo sail. Beacons had it as NE, but was NW at Wello. |
