Dan M (6875km): I'll be asking Santa for more days like that on the harbour! great sail with the seabreeze getting stronger and stronger. Only had to stop as I ripped my hands to bits. Sail 7.8 med board then dropped down to 6.3 and small board, should have gone 7.0 as was a little underpowered. CA SL109/SL87, VV38/32, Loft RB 7.8/6.3 Lyttelton Harbour, NZ
Mike Sinclair (25020km): Nice sail in good NE and plenty of chop, started in the Harbour, and then to the Estuary for flatter water but it was much the same. SL68, Turbo 6.0, Iwi 37 fin
Terry A (20336km): Coronation Beach, WA, AU S2 6.3 Venom, Patrik 100 33 then 29 CL speed weed then 92 Patrik and CL29 speed weed. Sick of grovelling on wave gear. Tom arrived and only had race stuff so I joined him. Pretty choppy and swelly out the back. Took some time to get the board sorted then broke a down haul rope out the back. Lucky for me the tack strap had hooked onto the extension. Could have been a drama.!!! We did get a few funny looks from the wave guys when we were riding waves in on our race gear!. Then back out for an evening session on the wave gear. Didnt use the GPS . Been here 4 days and sailed every day. This place does turn it on.
Dinks (2037km): Christchurch Estuary, NZ bic 310 freeride 35 bic freeride 6.4 neilprdye slalom nice cruise on my slow cruiser longest time on the water will be sore tomorrow
Pete (17020km): Christchurch Estuary, NZ ..Great to have some good windsurfing days running together. Nice evening sail on the estuary. Found my Alpha wall again, always a shade under 21 knots. ..Exocet RS1(80 litres), Overdrive 6.2, fin Select 27

Stephen (4800km): Light sea breeze - Falcon 110, Overdrive 7.8, Venom42 and DrakeDW 38. Tried tuning for light winds today, Shorter lines (line futher apart) helped maximising the power in the sail. Think adjustable lines are on the cards as I only have one boom for all my sails. Tried the Venom42 vs the DrakeDW38. No difference in top speed between them, alphas today were better on the DW38, perhaps upwind was also better on the DW38.
Dan (49113km): Good fun sessiom on small gear on the estuary |
