Real fun day at lilacs! Great to have so many people here!

Tide low at start so I did some experimenting with fins in the 48 and 5.7 speed. Started off with the 17cm@50deg starboard assy. I wasn't sure how well this fin works with the 5.7, a bit worried about upwind performance. Worked very well, but in the bad weed it was very hard to start and slow in the thick weed. So then tried the 16@55d, this fin is smaller, and felt like it, Didn't really get to try it downwind, as my harness line snapped as soon as I turned downwind. By the time I'd fixed that, it was time for lunch. After lunch the tide had filled in quite a bit, so changed back to the 17assy. Tried a few NMs but they seemed a bit short, then Strop suggested starting from way up and clinging to the bank, as there's a bit of a channel near it, and not so much thick weed. This worked very well, but my run had a few lighter patches, was only my 2nd best.

Lake George, SA, AU

Another great day at the spit with mobs of friendly sailors. Mobs of wind, no smooth like yesterday but set up was perfect and I felt like I was doing 50s but na, all good a little faster each day. Sailed till too cold and my eye balls fell out Laughing

Carbon Art SL87L, 18 Tribal Delta and a rubber with minimal protection.

Day 2, more fun with a few extras on the water today in Decrepit, Stretch & Flatchat who all looked to be enjoying the day. Left the hour a bit to late as the wind deteriorated a bit.
