Ripper day, nice cold morning sleep in and then some yack yack with some nice crew (Don't tell them).
Got down to the lake and guys on the big gear and others humming and harring, easy for me one board two sails so it was the 6.6, I rigged straight up because if I started the humming and harring I'd give up and bolt.
Wind wasn't consistant but I had a great time, It's been a ripper stay and two weeks still to go, yay.
Carban Art SL87L, 18 Tribal Delta, 6.6 Koncept and a rubber, nearly went the boardies but glad I didn't, older but no smarter.

Steve was out doing an hour and the wind felt solid so I rigged 5.8 instead of the usual 6.2 and by the time I finished rigging the wind dropped so rather than rig again I opted for the larger 114 board. tried for an hour but with lulls and stepoffs when I gybed couldnt get the 20+ I was hoping for. Still happy for the pb though.
I really enjoyed my few days here at Albany, friendly locals, sailing with Vic, Andrea, gybe tips from Steve today and meeting all those others whose names elude me at the moment but who I remember sailing with. Terrific rigging area, flat water sailing and the Panorama caravan park just down the road at $25 a night for a powered site.

Great fun, I was inspired by several great hours recently including Slugger, mark woody and Stroppo.
I have not had a lot of time on the water but the hour went as comfortably as an hour ever does. The wind was dropping after 50 mins and tubes at the south end started to get bogged down. I finished the hour and went in to say to a recent arrival. Great to meet Peter, we had a good natter and went out for another go. As we were talking the wind kept dropping. Peter suggested that his riggings a small sail contributed to the sad demise of the zephyr. I am not convinced 🙂.
Andrea of the Pinnaroos joined us on the grassy rigging area as we sadly looked at the dropping wind. Rather than watching her grovel on a tiny board and 4.7 she and I agreed that she would borrow larger kit. She went out with my Mistral91 tribal spwwedwwed 27 and Tr17 6.3. I hope you had some fun Andrea, you looked comfortable on it for some of the time.
Jesper and Troppo had arrived and rigged a 7.0. They looked comfortable in the flat water, I hope they return when it is windy.
