hoppybogan (26139km): Stansbury, SA, AU N 15-20 FF102, GPS 6.6, 35 BP slalom then 30 BP weedy Great to get out on the water after a long period of nothing. Sailed with Tricky and Carl. It started out light wind and i tried a 35 slalom to get me up and out of the chops. It was good but slow and i was sliding off the fin a bit so in and change to a weedy. The wind was building to a solid 15-20 and it was fun even though the water was high. Didn't last long though, hit the wall energy wise and came in. Tricky followed soon after but Carl had boundless energy and kept sailing strongly for another hour. Was good to catch up with the guys and a few beers later headed home. | ||||||||||||||||||
Tricky Bogan (21904km): It has been nearly 2 months since my last confession Headded to the local With Hoppy & Carl. Expected Rusty & Gumby to be sailing today with Carl but both Hoppy & I held our own till we could'nt feel our feet any longer & the jibing got a bit slow & unco. Rigged the Loft 7 CA SL 101 & 36 Lessacher Weedie. Was a cracker of a sail, really needed to get a good dose of Vitamin sea When I came in with numb feet & tingleing hands Hoppy & I decided that a coffee while we watched Carl motor back n forth having a blast was agood options for a couple of Ledgends. Captain bogan (50629km): Stansbury, SA, AU - 15 to 20 knots. Great morning sesh with Tricky and Hoppy. Been almost a year to the day that i crashed and haven't sailed there since. Great to get back on the horse. Heaps of water with a high tide so managed to use the slalom fins - love the slalom fins. Managed a 33.60 on the first run and then settled in for a one hour. Missed a couple of gybes in the hour and took a little while to learn the chop - not used to chop at Stansbury - but had a ball - nice sailing in clean open water. Finished the hour and in a for a quick bite with the Legends Trick and Hop choosing coffee instead of sailing lol. Used the 36cm atomic weapon fin for most of the sesh but decided on the Black Project R325 to finish the last hour. The water was filling in as the tide was coming but managed a few more 33's and had fun cruising to the end. Sammy the seal gave me a fright and had a couple of deep water starts out the back to make things interesting. Great to get back and sail Stansbury again and great to catch up with Hop and trick again - cheers for the beers. I will be back soon for more.... Patrik 100 / 7m ka sails race / Atomic weapon 36 / Black Project R325.
