1557 days ago Kalmus, Cape Cod. Nice foil session in easterly wind around 20 mph. Fortunately, I did not see all the Atlantic Sea Nettles that Nina saw, which ruined the fun for her a bit, nor did I encounter one during my swim breaks when I tried jibing or just messed up tacking or foiling in a straight (or curvy) line. I needed this after yesterday's session! ENE is a pretty nice direction in Kalmus. The life guards are getting a bit annoying, though. Supposedly, they heard thunder and closed the beach for half an hour when we wanted to launch. There was absolutely no thunder or lightning to be seen. But at least, they'll be gone in a few weeks.

Love this spot. So many varieties of conditions for one session.

1557 days ago sweet session, Al!
surprised by rideable wind at Coyote in a bout of east-coast summer weather complete with thunder, lightning, and downpours
conditions looked so-so and only had about an hour to ride, so decided to go for an hour time. had good pace for the first half or so, then the wind kicked up and water got rougher, making it tough to keep the pace up being somewhat overgeared – snuck a run or two in there but didn't see great numbers to cause me to change course. in the 59th minute, i blew a gybe outside, causing me to not quite make my goal of a 21-kt hour
will have to keep trying…
