1508 days ago Nice to be out on the little gear but should have been one up and would have been lit most the day. Still top sail and turn out with tons appearing from hibernation.

Shane (15730km):
1507 days ago A first for me at Lota Creek. Was a bit hard to judge the strength of the wind from inside the Manly Park Reserve area where we rig, though with some care successfully waded through the mud to find my way out of the Creek and then comfortably sail over to Wello. I enjoyed the open bay blast and avoided a few large turtles in the frey. Though, I completely misjudged the location of the creek mouth opening on my return journey to Lota, and by that time the wind had changed direction making it harder to go windward. I ended up some 60 meters too far south of the creek entry markers and had a very exhausting plop drop sink walk through the mud to get there! This old dog looked a tad deshevelled by the end of that.
In the end, Lota Creek turned out to be more of a scouting mission that day than what i had originally anticipated. Good way to learn from one's mistakes.
