Had two sessions today, but not sure how to combine them here on GPSTC?

First session was insurance if the afternoon turned out to be a fizzer.  Atawhai - High tide, N 20-30knots. KA5.4, IS87 C3 Venom 29.

2sec 30.76, 10sec Ave 28.626, 1hour 15.79, alpha 19.57, distance 29.25.

Second session was posted as this was interesting to me.  Akerstern - low tide. Wind N to NW and 5knots to 30? Massive wind holes/gusts.  I wanted to use the speed board, but it was clearly not going to work with the wind conditions, so out with the IS87 which floats me well. Rigged the KA 6.6 only to have it hit me (knocked me over) while rigging due to a big gust and broke a batten Cry   So I rigged the KA 5.4.  The stats show it all, 5knots in distance.... I only got two solid gusts, before it was over.  But that gust got me a PB or near PB for 2sec on the IS87 and my 10sec of that run was 34.22knots which is on par with what I get on the speed board.  Sail was on min downhaul.

KA Koncept 5.4, IS87, Tribal 27, GW52

Thanks Maree!

@ Sailquik Ackerston is a most commonly used speed channel....its 5min drive from home and work!  If you were refering to Rabbit island - then we need some good SW to blow through again. Sadly these are missing so far this springCry

BTW the video on Rabbit island is still being worked on.
