Hardie (35820km): Liptons early morning easterly, a fun sail with Alby and Guy Fave gear Mistral Speed 95/ TR16 6.3m Pepefoil 23.5/48
Elmo (31521km): JP Speed 54& Pepe weed 27cm, Tabou Manta 71cm, NP RSR E6 6.4m Awesome dawn patrol with Hardz and GP down at Liptons, satrted out on the speed board tacking up wind to Pt Grey hoping for some flat (there was none) so blasted across to Ward Pt the sent it on a Naughty run back to tyhe carpark which was on song for a high 20's until I hit some serious chop from behind and launched myself into a sizable dent in the water. Ended up doing runs paralell to the shore with Hardz, changed to the larger board as the speed board was getting a bit trickier to get going. Peak speed done on the speedy Good fun and back home by 0930
waricle (18943km): Albany, WA, AU Ca66 koncept 5.0 fangy19 it was windy when I rigged and when I went out it wasn’t so I came in re rigged a six I went back out and it nuked. I had a big off, bruised my hip did something to my good shoulder and lost my gw60. Came back in and rigged the 5 ... again and sailed the rest of the day, didn’t know my kms and guess what 10 k short of my pb... one of those days I guess . Great sailing after sacrificing my watch to Huey anyway. Sailed with Shane, Steve, and two others who shall remain nameless. Top day at Albany
evets (21500km): Lilacs JP55SL TR16 7.0 FF20 Well that is disapointing. My worst hour for a long time, I blew a gybe and then had spin out for much of the width of the bay. That is no a major issue, I did not slow down. The problem was that I went downwind so far that after I recovered and tried to gybe I ran out of water. It took me three goes to run into deeper water and try to restart. Anyway I can certainly do a better hour.... a work in progress. Peter did brilliantly with a significant distance. In truth it was a brilliant afternoon of sailing, the sun shone, the wind blew. I saw a Port Jackson shark swimming along the surface about 100m off the car park, abour 1m long. Could that be one of the things people hit and come to a stop?
The hr does mean I have a top 5 every year since 2009. A sad stat?
