Fin mode again and was feeling more comfy today. Able to go full bore across the chop of which there was plenty. Started to get well overpowered and tired so called it. Back is still quite sore from Sunday's crash so didn't want to push it.

1409 days ago Fangyland with Pas. I think I bounced myself and inch shorter. Bloody good fun, but over powered and under strength to do the breeze justice. 35 knots on bumpy stuff is hair raising, even in the places that I don't have any hair!
WT Cruise FF22 Ka6.6. Post more later if I get the chance before I fall in a heap of zzzzz.
A little more dialling in the Cruise today. With the stronger breeze and smaller sail, I shifted the mast foot back to halfway. With the foot straps at their current forward setting this was the limit of stability for me as far as getting pitched forward in the moguls at the river mouth or being able to stomp on the tail at speed and carve out of a downhill run back on to a close reach. Next job will be to move foot straps back a setting and reassess. I am wary of bogging the board in the lighter airs, but in this stronger stuff, the desire to do the full 'cigarette boat’ launch the bow way out in front over the small chop is irresistible fun. I am really, really enjoying the ability of this board to deal with the bump stuff at speed - Top Ten Fangy Post-Purchase Happy Place.

Last on the water tonight and only on for 45mins, plenty of breeze but hard to line it up on the point.
Spent most of my time at the point but the gusts never realy lined up, just kept hiotting holes.
Fun run back across with Mike, REALY had to commit to the harness across the middle as it was a tad lively there, did a squirt in the corner without any results so went back accross again did another run noticed everyone was of the water so decided to join then. Another lively run across the middle and a happy muppet back on shore.
Be nice to have a bit of shore line and a little less water

Well that was a bit ruff, and not much smoth anywere. I thought I was going fast over the lumps, but alas,,,,
and the great alpha I had executed was 10m over the speck.??. Didnt even get in a proper full hour before
my arms started to give out,,,, Oh well, it was stil some fun on the water, in the worm sunshine.

1409 days ago Peel Inlet, WA, AU. FF89, then CA47. SCR6.3. Great sail in gusty conditions. plenty water so you could sail straight across Pt Grey with a 27 fin. Speeds were a matter of catching a good gust in the right spot, so it was a bit hit and miss. Got 40 on both boards, I don't think the speed board offered much advantage in the conditions. Highlight of the day was Strop showing us all how it's done with a 43 on his old iSonic 😎

Grinners are winners and boy was there some grins. Not a lot of K's or a 50 notter but boy did I have fun, lots of grins, a few PB's and some awesome sailing by the GPS Gods. Stand out for me was Wing Ding Mike on gear I think he found in a skip bin, he was so happy and of course Strop on an old slalom board doing 40+'s, too cool. Also congrats to Rob-1 on his Pb and Rob-2 smashing the 40 again.
That's my last slap in WA for a couple months or so, see ya soon.
