We had wind again!  Ackerston - low tide. N wind of 20-30knots....the forecast was for more wind. 

Disappointed with my topspeed on the W49, I guess there was not quite enough wind for it &/or the angle was too tight for good downwind runs.  I should have tried the larger Venom 26 fin to see if that would have helped.....will do that next time!  

Tried the is87 with Venom 26 - same 34 2sec as the W49, but I could feel the fin letting go when in chop and pushing up wind. It did let go going into a speed run so I went back to my trusty Tribal 27 that has more lift than venom shape.

Alpha was 22knots with IS87 + Venom 26, best alpha with IS87 + Tribal 27

Lyttelton Harbour, rigged at esatuary and it died before I hit the water, so packed up and headed to the harbour for a foil. Used my 6m sail, treked up abouve diamond harbour in 3 tacks and was going for the island but ran out of wind so headed back down.  Flat water towards Quail island but ran out of wind again, after tacking back up found the wind again and had some nice sailing above the three poles.  Decided to come in just as the wind died. 

Had the whole harbour to myself as the two windsurfers had abandoned ship as I was rigging up and no other foilers anywhere.  Not even Trevor on his kite, so i owned the water this evening.
