1485 days ago 2 categories Coodanup, WA, AU Wind was looking good in Mandurah and building and all forecasts good so headed down. On reaching the turnoff there was suspicious absence of any wind indications and headed to Coodanup to check. 3knots and sunny...of course Melville was green arrows. Knowing it was frontal I figured would be better to hang about instead of turning around. A large dark band was approaching so rigged up anyway assuming this was the front and headed out just as it was about to hit. Was 30 seconds of light rain with no wind. Putt putted around at a max speed of about 2 knots for a bit and the sun came out and wind dropped to near zero so rigged down. As soon as rigged down wind came in at 9-10 knots and knowing it was usually 2 knots more a bit west rigged up again. Tide was lower than previous so a lot of fin bouncing along the bottom. Wind definitely improved in the west but never managed to get going so called it quits. Was pleasant enough in the sun and was goofing around with various backpack gopro pole mounts so not a complete wasted trip but close to it.
