Port Douglas, QLD, AU..Quick arvo sail Rick ,Ian and Simmi..Rough and windy 20 to 25kts with big tide running had a 'FULL ON but fun session 105 Fox 6.5 m turbo with to much down haul 38cm fin..Fox ran sweet and never put a foot wrong..Was a bit hard to find some where to gybe as there was nothing that even looked like flat water and plenty of breaking waves in shore..good practice session in tough conditions...everyone sail well and put in a good effort..Cheers ED.

Holloways Beach, QLD, AU  Well that was a bloody decent work out!!  First time trying the Jag 108- Big Swell, super rough water, fast moving tide, wind 15-25kn SE, ESE, SSE in no particular order...

Out on the water with Tony "the Truckie" on his wave gear just before 11am.  Found myself upwind near Machans after about 20mins due to the wind strength.  Another 20mins past and we were both back on the beach fatigued with serious arm pump!  Few tweaks needed then with the footstraps on the Jag as I had them far too tight to begin with~ geeze it seems I love a challenge...

Back out again for another 1/2 hour or so before we both came back in feeling the burn...  Tony then had to call it a day at this point due to family engagements (so he says!) Laughing

We had a quick chin wag whilst Tony derigged with my gear left down on the beach for another crack.  Wind dropped off a little & out I went again, now feeling a little underpowered.  After a couple of runs, I realised the sail had a big tear in the bottom panel so decided to call it quits...  Then on closer inspection, noticed some paw prints on the sail which lead me to think perhaps an excited pooch may have had caused the damage when out of sight on the beach.  Oh well, we live we learn...

Still all good fun trying out the new board in trying conditions! Cool

Used the Severne OD 7m with Tribal MK1 36 to go with the Jag.

Mackay, QLD, AU

Morning sail on the back of a 10-15knt forecast. Phil on the foil, me on the SB Vintage Formula, 8.5 Ezzy combo. Very marginal, just could finesse it onto the plane but a struggle to hold an upwind position. Wind dropped to about 10knots so ended up changing board to the Windsurfer LT and had a great time powering about in the flat water and catching small waves while Phil was back to dredging on the foil board. Great to be back on the water.

Hi Troy how do you like the windsurfer LT

Really nice light wind solution. I seem to get better results with the 8.5 sail than the standard rig in sub 15 knot conditions. Above 15knts the local chops up pretty bad so usually go back to be a short board. Will start doing some beach to beach cruising next.
