Well done Cookie,  I got out for a quick sail and will post later, but top speed only 35 knots.  Wind literally came in just as I'd given up and walked all the way back in to the beach.  Tide was getting too high to try and go back out though.  Still had fun with a few puffs!  

Thanks Dave. I didn't get on the water until an hour after low tide, by the time the wind started picking up the tide was flooding in

and it was starting to get very rough. An hour after i came in we had some 50 knot gusts.

I wonder who's had the most 40kt sessions in Australia? My top 3 would be daffy, cookie, slowboat????
