Foilville.  Race foil + 10.0 HG.

It was reading 12-14K on Melville Water when I arrived around 9:45, and forecast to fade, so I rigged the 10.0.  Got on the water around 10:20 and it had picked up to 15-18K, with stronger gusts, so I was well powered!

I was having a nice sesh, and making my way upwind off Nedlands YC, when I got tagged by a 20K+ gust.  Broached, then catapulted, and snapped the mast 

Fortunately I managed to flag down a fella passing by in a tinny (I think he saw me come a gutsa and came to investigate), and avoided a big swim 

It's gonna hurt buying a new 530 mast, but I guess you gotta pay to play

Melville Beach, WA, AU.  Went down around 7:30 as yellow on Seabreeze but conditions didn't match so went to do other stuff.  An hr or so later the local tree windometer was suggesting try again so headed down to find Boz contemplating.  After rubbing it in that I left just as conditions tuned good yesterday I headed out.   Was better than expected so should have spent less time chatting.  Last gybe popped a cam (sail was behaving weirdly so I must have rigged badly) so came in to reseat it when D2 (daughter #2) called saying she needed daddy time.  Hard to say no after sailing all day yesterday but looks like I scored the best of the wind so didn't miss much and was unexpected bonus.  120 Tabou Rocket, 8.6 Severne Turbo M4, FF28.  Today the GW60 data went weird so uploaded Jan DIY data to KA72 and worked fine.  Weird.
