Nobody here except us chickens (11520km): el Bog. NW 15-35kt. Very challenging conditions today. 4.2 Sailworks Hucker, JP FSW 85, and Select Casper GPS 27. Forecast was meant to be W. But it was NW. I had no idea what it would do, so stuck fairly close. I didn't want the wind to drop, and I'm over the other side of the lake on private land. Sam Sowton and PHil Taylor sailed really well today. And Stash my fellow team mate was also giving it his best. Stash talked me into rigging my big gear, and I got slammed 300m into the run. I won't count that one LOL. Not quite 30, but oh well. Here's to trying Some vimeo videos from today compliments of Glenn the Whatsapp moderator (let's see if this works):
Peter Daish (26108km): DAY 4 Lake George, SA, AU NW 25TO 35 . CRAZY CRAZY COLD HAIL RAIN, GUSTY, full metal jacket weather, mistral 55cm speed 7.1 gun GS-R 29 tribal weed, bit to much for the day but need it in lulls, speed strip was deadly at the end. 5 sec window for combining the gust with the correct angle. sam pulled it off!! Some local said it would be shit ! hmm numbers say different story.
Sammy (43276km): Day 4 Lake George. Had yesterday off as a lazy day and back at it today.
Had a fun sesh with Carl and Daishy and was well powered on my 7.1 sail. Probably more overpowered than comfortable but that is what it takes to go fast 🤣🤣. Gusty cold day and was frozen by the time I came in. Cheers Pete for the hot shower and nice warm car.
Captain bogan (50690km): Lake George - Day 4 - 25 to 35 nw. Crazy day with an angry George with Shane, Daishy and Sam. Slow start with a light breeze and soon turned it on with 20 to 30 with some nice bullets. 1st run down the big lake side squirted a quick mile and then down to 5 mile passed Barbie island with a 36 knot screen. Headed up to the spit and found the boys smashing out some fast runs - well done guys . Tried several times with alot of 36 odd peaks but just couldn't line up the gusts with the short run. Still had a ball in some very windy conditions - did a mile with Daishy and Sam at the end - wow it was fun but hard work when knackered - managed a 36 knot peak in the mile but slightly slower than the earlier one.. more of the same tomorrow and then heading home - been a great trip as usual. Like Sam said cheers Daishy for the shower and heated car . Patrik 87 / 2021 loft racing blade 6.3 / Black project R30 / Tribal weed speed 27 (cheers for loan Daishy)
