1104 days ago Lipton's bit of fun. But what a tale I have to tell. I was Pumped for Lilacs Albany, with the 5 hr drive ahead of me I left early this morning, and while driving south down the forrest hwy, fanatsizing about the speeds I would do, I had this sinking feeling I'd forgotten my GPS. I pulled over and searched my car, No GPS Faaarrrrk! Turned around, drove home, and as I'm driving over the Dawesville Bridge, which has a view over the Estuary it looked 20kts plus, and I thought I'm done with driving I'll just come back and sail here. Got home and where is my GPS, in my Office on top of my desk a place I would never put my GPS. I did some cleaning the day before and moved my stuff from its normal position into my office. When I got to Lipton's it looked like it was gusting to about 22/23kts, rigged my 6.3 Simmer SCR, My Simmer 96/62 3XS, and of course the wind started to drop as soon as I hit the water. Oh well some days are not meant to be, there's a million worse things that can happen than forgetting your GPS and sailing at an inferior windsurfing location, and I was still flying around at 33kts
