el Bog, at lunch the cloud cleared and got a a surprising sou-souwester to 15kts. Big gear then, Mach4 7.8, iSonic97, 40cm Maui something.

Flukey to begin with then came in heavier as the afternoon waned. First real outing on this sail, impressed how composed it is.- reckon it's got a hell of a range. Toward the end with a bit more puff I was starting to light it up. Bit patchwork up top - I couldn't jag a gust on the reed bed, kept having to let go early after stalling in the shadows. My timing was off, but some sweet fanging with the Captain and Pete who were both cranking, and always a pleasure to be out with Chris and Leon. Good times indeed.

Boggy lake 12 to 15.

Fun arvo on the water with Daishy, Dimond, Trousers and later Leon.  With a 10 to 15 forecast decided on big kit.  Started out a little patchy and soon picked up nice.  Blown away with the big board and sail so easy, fun and fast to sail - love it.

Had some awesome runs up the top with Dimond, Daishy and Trousers.  Had another air time moment when heading upwind the board lifted out the water again - managed to pull the rig back on myself instead of catapult.

I think the big kit will get a hammering this summer LaughingCool.

Great day out. Captain: Phat Patrick looked very trim all day long - unsurprised to see you podiumed. Jay, sounds like you had fun: quite high tide to let you launch from that side of the dunes! Smile   My condolences for your loss 3/4B -  it sounds time to move on/scour buy&sell on seabreeze!

Wishing you speedy healing with the surgery Daishy, any wrist problems were not showing when you duck gybed that 8.6m!

Thanks T. LOL, I wish I could. One of the negatives of Haven is dragging your gear over them.

Sorry to hear Hoppy. There's no rip at Stansbury, so it should have stayed put. Unless it's buried by sand (the small tide movement making it sink into the sand bar ?). That sand gets pretty loose. If the fishos are anything like at Jetties here in metro, I would be popping into Cash Converters if there is such thing on the Peninsula ?.  Those might remember Mark Zaza getting his rig stolen a few times when it seperated at Sems and floated down to Largs jetty.

Davey Jones locker. Apparently you get to wear a cape and hat if you cross the equator Laughing

Good numbers all. Hope you get your wrist fixed Pete.

Found it

Had a phone call today from a friend. It was seen on Friday being dragged by the tide across the spit both ways. No one collected it though and i thought it would go over the back of the spit and never be seen again. But then the tide turned and dragged it back onto the back of one of the Oyster Leases. The oyster boat picked it up and i drove there and picked it up. 8 days adrift or asunk and no damage to the rig except for the snapped mast. That is the second HSM skinny mast i have seen broken at the local, Carl broke one too. I thought they were indestructable, not so. I will be looking for a 4m skinny but constant curve not super flex top.

Anyway the Oyster guy was happy with a carton and a few beers for Paul as well, thanks guysCool

You wouldn't have thought the tide was that strong there. Glad you got it back.
