Interesting foil testing with Stevo from Belmont. It's good to try different style foils. Got flying real quick and went nice and smooth.

Thanks a lot Steve.

175/F4 foil race 1000/8.9

SSE 12-16kts - A loop of the lake with Murray on the race kit. Can't say I was jumping out of my skin to do it but......Started with an agonising 1hr 40mins, 58km work up to Vales Point power station and made our way back via places I didn't know existed! In fact I couldn't of even navigated the journey without assistance and without Muz waiting for me to catch up often. (that bloke can point!) Ran into Byron at Brightwaters and Andy at Coal following Murrays catastrophic foil failure. Bloody unlucky mate.

It was great to see the much underused southern end of the lake. So quiet and peaceful compared to the northern end this time of year.

Loopa da Lake

The plan was good the conditions were great, the outcome well a bit mixed.

Great sail in general mostly nicely powered to overpowered on the 8.9 and 950 wing.

Dragged Jeff along just to assist him in gaining a scense of adventure opposed to doing speed runs and crashes, deep down real deep down i think he enjoyed it.

Saw a shark circa 3.5m at Wangi (the south side) he minded his business and i minded mine.

Was aiming for 120km but cut short by catastrophic failure we think of fuse to mast bolts failing in tension resulting in fuse snapping off and sinking to the bootom with wing and stab attached. It gets better, due to the failure it resulted in a catapult which resulted in a broken mast as well.

Made it back into Coal Point, Tony and Andrews assistance was welcomed, Andrew hooked me up with a small sail to complete my journey back to Valo.

I'm now looking a new foil options $$$$$

Formula 159 Sailworks 7.4

Best sail in quite a while. Fitness and technique are slowly improving.

Wing Dingers a kiter a foiler and Lajos shared the breeze. Patchy at times but a geat sail. Almost zero stink boats. Heaven.

Thanks very much guys! Just a huge day and we were really lucky with the wind which hardly changed over the five hours. Dez, Murray actually did bring a mask with him and cash to buy lunch for both of us at a Wangi cafe. I'm sure good karma doesn't have a used by date!

bugger Muz you guys looked unreal from the shore at Brightwaters nicely powered up.

Agree Geoff Some fantastic spots to sail in the south end of lake Mac that no one knows about due to not trying different spots.
