s2 venom 6.3, falcon 90, select v max 31

cracking sail perfectly powered up at coal point a bit underdone at the sand islands or the speed would have been huge over there.

not as windy as yesterday but best sail in ages that was soo much fun comming into coal point in big swell hiting speeds over 35 I thought I was going to end up in the car park a few times.

15-23kts plus NE Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU level 0-26 to 0.21

6.2m M2OD - 80ltre isonic - 20cm Atomic nuclear weed ( 1st go)

Well that was great!

I was really tired and unenthused after yesterday at Coal. I would have liked to try more gybes but I was really tired..Undecided

I got a few ok ones , they improved as time went on.

I haven't used the 80 iso for ages and got over to Buff channel and realised the vent plug was open..Yell The Windtechs have goretex vents so I've got out of the habit of checking. Back over to the launch , trudge through the mud for a screwdriver , trudge back in to put it away..Undecided By now I was so tired I almost gave it away and went home..

I used a 18.5cm Artomic at LG and it was terrific but back here in less dense water I found it a bit small for the 80 so I bought a 20cm. 1st try and at first i waasn't impressed, the wind was a bit patchy over near Buff and I found it harder to get upwind than the Fangys..I almost spit the dummy and came in to get my 16.5cm FF ( cutdown22) which would have been much better but slower.

Luckily the wind built & I was soon very powered up and the fin worked well. Cool

I found the iso very tiring . it bounced me all over the place. I'd set myself up to work upwind and then get bounced around and end up hanging like a sack of spuds..Yell Luckily I improved a little as the wind increased. I certainly go upwind best VERY overpowered..

There were some big gusts that I hit working upwind but it was hard to get one at the right time in the bearaways. I reckong if I had scored one in some flatter water a 36kts plus would have been the go.

Very happy with the 2 sec. That's the best I've scored for a few years..Embarassed

Hard to find any flatwater mainly 4-5 " chop. The gust of the day i spunout and went 300m sideways..Yell

Funny I was flying along, looked behind me and my camelbak bladder was skipping along the top of the water behind me..Laughing It had pulled out of the outer pack and was held by the tubing..

Great to chat to Bruce, Dezza , Pete , Pugs and Loic..Early session. the afternoon shift ( Pete , Pugs and loic ) were going out as I derigged.

I'm looking forward to resting for a few days..I'm absolutely knackered..zzzzzzz

Iso is upside down in the sun with a tissue in the vent..Undecided
