Gosford, NSW, AU

Again not as good as forcast but good enough with big sails and 1000 wing again.

Crossing my fingers for tomorrow at the club.

Coal Point, NSW, AU. 5.5 Ezzy 1250 wing. Another great session but and weird NEer once again. Didn't deliver as advertised but on the foil who cares. All the usual suspects plus Sue and Byron. I know I keep dumping praise on her but Nicole is absolutely smashing it on the foil, so good to see.

5 - 10 few puffs 10-12kts ENE Coal Point, NSW, AU

Sailed 1.20 - 5pm  with a short break on the end of the point

7.5m Turbo- WT64 ( 112ltres) - 35cms tectonics weed demon

It looked quite good at 1pm but silly me believed the forecast and decided to wait for the 14-18kts after 2pm..Of course by 2pm it was 5-11kts..Undecided

I need to build myself up to cope with the big sail and the longer board is quite pleasant in light conditions. It was nice to be on the lake.

Got going about 3 times. It was hard work and most of the time it wasn't worth trying  as there wasn't any wind after the gust.

I put on about 5kgs when I was sick and couldn't exercise. It's certainly helped with my 2 sec. Since I've come back I've got a Lake Macquarie PB and the best speed I've had at Budgy for a while.

I've lost a bit but I'm still a few kgs more than normal and I noticed it today. I'm sure I would have got going in some of the gusts at my previous weight. Undecided. I've got to stop wearing polaroids too- well that looks enough! ( look over the top - ugh maybe not)..

A few times there was some very sloppy boat wake . 3ft rollers coming from one direction with a cross wake at 90 degrees.. The longer board is great  just riding over the top where a shorter board would have been submarining and spearing through the waves.

That's a fair distance doing 4kts..Laughing

Tony - Andrew - Nic- Gert  and Byron on foils , Brett , and a few others winging. I was the only one on a fin.

When I was starting yesterday I found a mobile phone wallet in a lunchbag in the water. The bag was full of water so I assume the phone was dead. Andrew chased it up and it ended up being a guy who was kayaking at wangi on Sunday! Surprised

It had drifted all the way to Coal. He was happy to at least get his license back..Cool
