Lake George, SA

Super windy day, 5.5m was nice for first part of afternoon, then tried the 4.6m overdrive for a few runs, great to get the small sails out again.

55w/5.5m/19 and 49w/4.6/17

I was one of the "crazy kiters" out early in the afternoon. You may also remember me from such episodes as the chick stuck on duck shit island yesterday Laughing Got blown off the water kiting so thought I'd dust off the cobwebs on the speedy.  Was a bit nervous after so long so rigged a camless sail to be comfortable.  I could see the disappointment in the eyes of my mentors as they willed me to toughen the cam up as I headed out.  Really tired and rusty so my goal was to just do one run to remember what it's all about.  One run, only bear away in over 6 years and one PB.  It truly is a magic lake Cool

Lake George, SA, AU, 5-Mile

iSonic 127L/82w, MUF Delta 24, Mach2 8.6

Started out 10 am trying for distance. Light wind for first 2 hours.

Came in for lunch, wind picked up, gave up on distance, started trying for speed runs, then rigged:

CA 108/66, Tribal Delta 20, Mach2 6.2

Couple runs then changed to:

Patrik 92L/59w, Tribal Delta 16, Mach2 6.2

Couple more runs then changed to:

Falcon 50w/68L, Tribal Delta Speed 16, Mach4 5.0

Spent last 2 hours to 5.30 pm. Should have kept 6.2 or used 5.5 instead of 5.0m.

Congrads to all the PBS from the others.

LG started off lightish 107 isonic and 7.0 m2 22xt delta. quite comfortable but quikly over powered.

Moved to 5.4 KA koncept and 90l CA speed board.

felt fast and handled chop well but still could'nt squize out a 40.

bashed out 44km on the the big gear PB for the HR. and with a couple of breaks, bashed out the rest on the small gear so happy with the distance, and PB.
