Lake George, SA, AU 10 to 15 then 22 to 28 knots SE,  98 L FMX racing, 7.0 GSR gun , 27 tribal weed speed

What a DAY !!  after going out on 8.6 and 138 L and pulling 37 on first run it was time to put that away and the day was devoted to the hour.  I tried all kinds of fins , some proto types testing them across the wind and none would pull over 30 knots rock solid like the 27 cm Tribal weed speed. Last time for 28 hr I stack it 3 times in the weed due to the drag.. I knew that 29 plus only achieveable if your going 30/31 across wind. I went with the weed speed and stayed away from the sides.  started right at the top but to many jybes had me at 26.5 after 5 mins then settled across wind moving the av to 29.  I stayed high as the water was great and the av was building. fin was absolutely rock solid!!  not one spin out and I got lifted in the gusts at 32 knots several times and the fin held.  Pulled every jybe thank goodness one at 27. still above the weather station at 45 mins I knew if everything went well I would get 29.  then above the islands it was faster so average came out to 29.7, then speed run 38.5  into big lake for 30 on the screen,

speed talk constantly in the 31's and 32's some runs 35.  Thanks for the girls on the beach who witness it..  so proud of myself. being analysisng this for about a year and training hard.  So thankful I'm semi retired and have the ability to travel to windy places.

Dont you love it when a plan comes together!..  now how to break 30 but a beer first !Cool

I was just hoping for a 29!! When the watch was heading for 30 I was very surprised! Wasn’t expecting it. I’m always expecting faster but even another .3 of a knot is significant! I look at it and think I should have gone further down the lake earlier! But would hav, should hav, can kill you! For me I hit every gybe , wind was absolutely perfect for rig, ….windier would have meant bigger chop and maybe speed board and missing the turn. 2things 1. Speed talk was relentless in forcing me to sail over 31 knots after everygybe, regardless of the sailing angle! If I ran out of lake then so be it. If I was going 33/34 , I would head up wind to slow down and gain ground, for a fast turn. 2. The new Garmin software, starting the watch when you actually start the hr is essential as it’s gives you real time feedback as you sail . So motivating Oh yeah no one else on the lake! Lol. Only had to dodge one sailor on a turn. Perfect. Thanks again for all your nice comments. I celebrated with 2 beers that night 😂😂 Hope to connect with you guys this year intestate 🙏🙏 So much to learn from all of you👍

Well done Daishy if you used a GW60 you would have picked up the .3 of a knot with ease.
